Kalpataru Project at the Dumdum Correctional Home - Edition III

Kalpataru - a groundbreaking restorative program for women trafficked in the sex trade spreads its wings for the women captives in the Dum Dum Central Correctional Home this year.

We believe 'Kalpataru' a Sanskrit word for the divine tree of Indian mythology that imparts energy for changing one's destiny will also help these women to find resilience, hope and resources. The program uses story dancing pioneered by Storydancer Zuleikha , yoga, meditation, play with clay, art , music and the teachings of Ayurvedic nutrition as the components of this healing through love.
