The Light Space - Advanced Course

The Light Space is a photography school based in Kolkata, India for survivors of human trafficking and those vulnerable to trafficking and gender based violence. The goal of the program is to teach photography both as a vocational training and as a tool for empowerment and self expression.

The training program is a 5-month long education experience mixing exercises on healing through photograph, practical skills to take into the workplace, and real world experience in photography, Photoshop and business. Both local and international instructors will be on faculty. The Light Space is in partnership with US based photographer, Brooke Shaden, US based non-profit Blossomy and Kolkata based NGO, New Light India.
