Days for Girls @ Murshidabad

An immensely successful and rewarding workday at New Light! True empowerment of women can happen only when they can claim complete responsibility for and exercise full control over their reproductive right. Today New Light launched its first community based reproductive right awareness campaign in the remote village of Bharatpur, District Murshidabad of West Bengal. We are proud to be the service delivery partner of Days for Girls International. Thank you Ann Webb of ALL International and global ambassador of www.daysforgirls.org Rachel Jones for bringing this campaign to New Light. More than 200 women and girls received feminine hygiene care kits and a session on safe and planned parenthood.
