Dr. Erica Sudipta Basu is the Research & Grants Consultant at New Light. Dr. Basu brings with her deep and wide experience as a highly skilled strategic communication professional, critical information studies educator, and qualitative deliberative engagement researcher. Her professional networks include working with national and international government agencies, private corporations, higher education institutions, and non-profit and non-governmental organizations.
Dr. Basu holds a Ph.D. in Communication & Internet Governance Studies and a Master's degree from American University, Washington, DC, and a Bachelor's degree in Speech Communication from The College of Wooster, Ohio.
In her spare time she enjoys cooking, baking, travelling, and listening to a diverse range of music.
